The comprehensive strategy captures the full range of offerings from HousingWire. As the company expanded through the acquisition of RealTrends and Altos Research, it became essential to refresh the brand to reflect this evolution. I undertook a brand revitalization that retained the original legacy fonts while streamlining the logo by eliminating extraneous elements. Additionally, I developed a more muted color palette to enhance brand representation. These updates, along with a modernized design approach, aim to attract a younger audience and foster engagement within the HousingWire community.
Being a news media company, the brand itself is not the only important factor. The imagery used on our articles also play an important role in keeping engagement going with their audience subscribers. With the production of over 12 articles daily, the newsroom relied on stock images for quick access to visuals. However, this reliance often led to the use of imagery shared by competitors. I undertook a comprehensive revamp of the newsroom's imagery, establishing a distinctive visual aesthetic that sets HousingWire apart on social media. This initiative not only enhances our brand’s visibility but also creates more engaging and eye-catching images that encourage audience interaction and clicks.
